David Swetmon - Owner and President

David has spent 30 years building a business and a lifestyle around multi-family construction. Prior to being the Owner and President of SCS and SWET Construction Group, he was the Vice President of SCS Contracting for 10 years. It’s those years of invaluable experience that makes SWET Construction Group and SCS the known and trusted name in multi-family construction that it is today.

 

David Barkley Jr.  – Vice President of Structural Contractors South

David joined Structural Contractors South in 2005, bringing with him 36 years of experience and 12,000 completed units under his belt. Since his time at SCS he has now completed over 42,000 units. Starting out, David came to Cardinal Homes where he served as both Project Manager and Plant Manager at their facility in Sanford, Florida.  After his time at Cardinal Homes he spent many years as an independent Project Manager overseeing the drywall and paint divisions for companies in Florida and Alabama.

 

Jerry Smith – Strategic Partner, Live Oak Construction Services

Jerry has been in the flooring business for more than 20 years, primarily focusing on multi-family new construction and rehabilitation projects. His business, Live Oak Construction Services, has been a strategic partner with SCS since 2007, providing flooring materials, labor, and installation services.

 

Joe Booth – Painting & Waterproofing Specialist

Joe spent 22 years in the paints and coatings industry working for Sherwin Williams. He brings that expertise directly to SCS along with certifications in sealants and waterproofing. Joe has attained his Building Envelope Inspector, BEC-2, accreditation through the Building Envelope Science Institute Inc. This accreditation recognizes Joe as a qualified industry professional with enhanced knowledge of the building envelope, assessment and inspection methods/techniques, restoration techniques, and much more. He is also a State of Florida Certified Building Contractor and is working towards his 9-state contractor certification.
