Without student loan obligations, this number would increase to between 38% and 50% depending on the region.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">In 2019, 12.3% of millennial renters nationwide plan to always rent, compared to 10.7% a year ago.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Retaining tenants is key\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Retaining these &#8220;forever renters&#8221; is the key to high return on your investment. As rents continue to rise, these renters have come to expect some type of return. This doesn&#8217;t necessarily mean adding the latest amenities, but updating existing ones.
