Monthly rent prices are higher than they have ever been in the Orlando area. \u201cIt’s a reflection of the growth we’ve experience in Orlando’s economy over the past several years,\u201d said Dr. Sean Snaith, of the University of Central Florida Institute for Economic Competitiveness.<\/p>\n

The demand for new housing development in Central Florida is directly related to the growth in the population, economy and increased tourism.<\/p>\n
According to a recent article in the Orlando Business Journal, \u201cCome to find out, Orlando is the fastest-growing of the country\u2019s 30 largest regions, according to new population estimates released yesterday by the U.S. Census Bureau. The region added more than 60,000 net new residents in the 12-month period ending July 1, 2015 (166 per day), growing total population by 2.6 percent to 2,387,138. The numbers come just a week after revised labor market data confirmed Orlando\u2019s status as America\u2019s No.1 employment center for job growth in 2015.\u201d
\n\u201cWe’ve got community venues here that are world class. The Doctor Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, the Amway Center and newly constructed Orlando Citrus Bowl,\u201d said Thomas Chatmon Jr., of the downtown development board.\u201cAmenities and entertainment options are always something you consider when choosing a place to live,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
