Affordable Commercial Construction Orlando and Atlanta

The efficient construction of new multi-family housing, apartments and condominiums in the Southeastern United States, Atlanta and Orlando, can drastically improve the overall affordability. On average a new multi-family housing constructed with energy efficient features can outperform traditional construction by 40 percent, according to a recent study by Virginia Tech’s Center for Housing Research.

Cooperation“Our interaction with residents reveals that there are substantial savings that can still be achieved with more effective education and incentives. We have learned some lessons that will help us to refine design standards and make better decisions on what technologies to deploy,” says Andrew McCoy, director of the Center for Housing Research at Virginia Tech.

The study also found that new multi-family construction with green certified projects were more affordable.

Incorporating innovations in construction techniques, material selection and engineering, buildings not only cost less to operate, they last longer and provide healthy exterior and interior environments.

With over 35 million renters nationwide, the multi-family housing market is a vigorous $1.1 trillion dollar industry. It’s estimated that in 2015 there will be more than 67 million people between the ages 20 and 34 renting apartments and 12.4 million seniors.  Both will be looking for design and construction that creates energy efficiency, while significantly lowering operation expenses, increasing performance and reducing maintenance.
